Spasov & Bratanov acted as a local counsel for MTG (in support of Allen & Overy, a leading international counsel, and the M&A team of MTG) and provided Bulgarian law advice on the sale of their shareholding in Nova Broadcasting Group (“Nova”) in Bulgaria to Advance Media Group. Nova is a national TV broadcasting operator operating directly and/or through subsidiaries on various media markets, such as online, print and TV advertising, free-to-air and pay-TV services, email services, video – sharing platform, etc. The transaction is subject to local regulatory approval by the Competition Protection Commission. Georgi Spasov and Nayden Raychinov as core members of our M&A practice have been directly involved at all stages of the transaction, well supported by Vladimir Tashev, while Kremena Yaneva – Ivanova provided the relevant competition advice on the Bulgarian merger clearance aspects.
