The change of ownership of the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company EAD has been widely reported in the media. However one of the conditions for the successful transfer of ownership was the repayment of the € 365 million secured financing, arranged by Citibank N.A., London Branch with Citibank Europe plc, UK Branch, acting as Agent. The complicated process was managed by Allen & Overy as an English law advisor and Spasov & Bratanov contributed by acting as a Bulgarian legal counsel to the syndicate lenders. The process was not without its obstacles but they were no match for the highly experienced team, led by the managing partner Georgi Spasov, assisted by Nadia Hadjova and with the ongoing support of Krasimir Mitkov.
