Spasov & Bratanov advised AES Global Power Holdings B.V, a subsidiary of AES Corporation, the largest investor in the energy field in Bulgaria and one of the largest independent global energy companies, on the sale of 100% of its shareholding in AES Solar Galabovo EOOD, the owner of an 80MW utility-scale solar PV project in south-central Bulgaria, to Greenvolt Power Solar Poland Sp. Z o.o.  The close cooperation between the teams of Spasov & Bratanov and AES Bulgaria made sure to execute perfectly all actions and meet all requirements set by the parties to the transaction to reach completion by the designated target date. The transaction involved negotiating the acquisition documents and coordinating the key corporate and regulatory documentation of the seller group. Our team was consisted of partner Vassil Hadjov, responsible for negotiating and providing input on the English law governed transaction documents, and associate Vladimir Tashev who ran the corporate and conditions precedent aspects of the transaction. BRACEWELL (UK) LLP (Ro Lazarovitch, partner and Adam Waszkiewicz, senior associate) acted as English counsel to AES on the transaction.
