Spasov & Bratanov advise on the acquisition of 5 HPPs by Akuo Energy (France)

Akuo Energy, a leading French-based IPP in renewable energy, which already owns four hydro power plants in Bulgaria, has completed the acquisition of PVB Power Bulgaria AD which owns five hydro power plants along the Iskar River in Bulgaria.

Spasov & Bratanov provided Bulgarian law advice to Akuo Energy and Tsvetkova Bebov Komarevski, acting under the instructions of Gianni & Origoni – GOP, advised the sellers, a group of Italian-based utilities and a development institution.

Spasov & Bratanov’s team consisted of energy partner Vassil Hadjov, senior associates Irina Stanimirova and Petar Dyankov and associates Vladimir Tashev and Krasimir Mitkov.

The team of GOP consisted of partners Francesco Puntillo and Francesco Bruno, and associate Debora Abrardo.
