Spasov and Bratanov advised AES Bulgaria, the largest investor in the energy field in Bulgaria and one of the largest independent global energy producing companies, on borrowing Euro 150 million from OTP Bank and DSK Bank. The close cooperation between the teams of Spasov and Bratanov and AES Bulgaria made sure to execute perfectly all actions and meet all requirements set by the lending banks until disbursing the loan in the final hours of the year. The complex  transaction involved multiple stages, from a corporate reorganization of the Borrower to negotiating the finance documents and finally coordinating the entire documentation of the borrower group. Our team was managed by partner Vassil Hadjov and consisted of counsel Nadia Hadjova in charge of the finance work, assisted by associate Krasimir Mitkov, and senior associate Petar Dyankov and associate Vladimir Tashev running the corporate aspects.
