Spasov & Bratanov successfully assisted Inercom Bulgaria with its appeal against the CPC’s prohibition to acquire the Bulgarian business of CEZ

In July 2018, CPC prohibited our client Inercom Bulgaria to acquire the Bulgarian business of CEZ. Three years and a half later, on 28 January 2022 a five-member panel of Supreme Administrative Court upheld the decision of a three-member panel of the same court to overturn this prohibition, which was found to be unlawful on both procedural and substantive grounds. Kremena Yaneva-Ivanova and Georgi Spasov advised on the matter and represented Inercom Bulgaria in the court proceedings. We are pleased that we had the opportunity to contribute to the success of our client’s appeal.
